Great for breakfast, brunch, or served with coffee after any meal. Kringle is also popular for meetings and gatherings. We recommend refrigerating or freezing Kringle when storing. To warm, remove from package and place in a 350 degree oven for approximately 3-minutes or warm, as necessary, in a microwave oven. Cut into 1 or 2-inch slices depending on appetite and occasion.

Having grown up in St. Louis with some of the best German and Italian Bakeries and then lived 37 in New Orleans with the best food and pastries God created, and having been taught how to bake some of the best tasting cakes and desserts at age 8 by my grandmother- who was a fantastic cook---- I know what tastes GOOD----REALLY GOOD!!!! Bless your family for continuing this wonderful creation of your Danish culture. The filling in this Kringle is heavenly. I'm sure if we were able to go into the bakery in Racine and buy one at the counter, it would be even better, but most of us can't so---this was quite delicious regardless. I almost wish I hadn't seen the CBS Sunday Morning in Dec. which prompted me to look y'all up on the internet, because now I'm going to have to have more. I've been to northern Wisconsin many times on vacation and picked cherries in Door County---they were the best I ever ate, so I'm looking forward to trying the Cherry Kringle next!!

Can something be too sweet?

The Kringle was wonderful but for the fact the icing was too sweet! I have never said that about any dessert!! I love sweet. This was too much!

Comments about O&H Danish Bakery Copenhagen Kringle:

When I was 11 years old I made Danish pastry with the help of my younger sister and it was a weekend challenge. 2 lbs. of butter, tons of flour, confectioner's sugar, pecans, almonds. Proof, rest, roll, 1/4 turn, repeat. I've lost the recipe like 40 years ago, and now I don't need it anymore. Devine, brilliant, perfect. Now if I could only learn to SHARE!

Comments about O&H Danish Bakery Copenhagen Kringle:

This was a Christmas gift for a friend who had never had a kringel. I ate them when I lived in Milwaukee. She told me the kringel was packaged perfectly to avoid damage and the delivery person rang the door bell just as I had instructed. She loved the kringel and dug right in! She saved me a small section which I just finished off. I'm used to eating the pecan kringel but this one is just as good. Highly recommend at any time of the year.
